WildStang championship deserved more ink
I am deeply saddened by the Daily Herald’s failure to give due recognition to the accomplishments of the WildStang Robotics Team.
The cooperative team made up of students from Rolling Meadows, Prospect and Wheeling high schools won a world championship in St. Louis, Missouri and you bury the story on page 13.
However you devote a full page pictorial spread to the Palatine Relays. I agree that sports have a place in high school, but are they more important than academic and scientific accomplishment? Think about your priorities, please.
Surely academic and technological achievement by our high school students rates at least as much ink as someone carrying a baton.
