Schaumburg A.M. Rotary inducts new member

Karen Maczka-Bishop, club president, inducted Dr. Joon H. Han as its newest member at the May 11th meeting.

Han obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Illinois College of Dentistry. In 2009 he opened Scharrington Dental PC in Schaumburg, located at the corner of Schaumburg and Barrington Roads. Han is an active member of numerous professional organizations and has completed 3 years of post graduate education in the area of prosthodontics, a dental specialty focusing on the restoration and replacement of teeth.

Rotarians are volunteers who work locally and internationally to combat hunger, improve health and sanitation, provide education and job training and promote peace and understanding under the Rotary motto of “Service Above Self.” Rotary International, founded in Chicago in 1905 and headquartered in Evanston, Ill., consists of more than 33,000 clubs and 1.2 million volunteer members worldwide.

Schaumburg A.M. Rotary, a multigenerational group of men and women, representing a cross section of the local business and professional community, meets weekly on Wednesday mornings from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at Poplar Creek Country Club, 1400 Poplar Creek Drive in Hoffman Estates.
