Barrington to honk for sobriety
From 6:45-7:45 a.m. Thursday, May 19 (or Friday, May 20, if it rains), more than 250 students and staff will stand with signs and banners alongside Main Street outside Barrington High School, pledging their commitment to an alcohol-free lifestyle. Drivers are asked to display their encouragement for this fifth-annual Honk for Sobriety event. Sound your horn to show support; more importantly, as Principal Steve McWilliams says, hug your teen and urge him or her to play it safe and smart as the school year comes to a close.
