HFN Inc. Healthcare Showcase explores healthcare reform myths
OAKBROOK, ILLINOIS. The HFN Inc. annual Healthcare Showcase held on May 4, 2011, for 225 attendees from Northern Illinois employers large and small, heard nationally recognized speakers explode employer self-funding myths attributed to the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA).
Transformational in nature, the Healthcare Showcase provided employers with a bright future for health insurance self-funding options for controlling and reducing their healthcare costs.
"Contrary to popular myth, PPACA does not mean the death of employer self-funded health insurance", said David Kolb, President and CEO, HFN Inc." "Employers are finding that in order to control healthcare costs, that they need a toolbox of solutions that includes employee healthcare utilization data, predictive modeling, employee incentives and self-funding options to impact the cost of healthcare and improve employee health for increasing business competitiveness."

"Employers are not at the mercy of an uncertain healthcare cost future. They can make positive changes to their benefit structure and plans, which can impact and reduce their health insurance cost today and improve the healthiness of their employee's," said Kolb.
