Kyuki-Do Martial Arts offers women's self-defense workshop June 4

Kim's Black Belt Academy and Kyuki-Do Martial Arts of Elgin will host its annual Sushi and Self Defense workshop from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday June 4 at 792 S. McLean Blvd. in Elgin.

Topics covered will be awareness tips, personal safety and what to do when confronted.

The mid-point break will feature sushi and other signature dishes from Ju-Rin.

This hands-on seminar is designed to heighten awareness to help prevent attacks as well as basic maneuvers to escape an attacker. Females 14 years of age and older are invited.

Participants should wear comfortable clothing.
