New Island Lake trustees hosting party:

The newly elected Island Lake trustees are hosting a celebration and food collection benefiting the Wauconda and Island Lake food pantry on Thursday, May 12. The event will begin at 8:30 p.m. at Sideouts Bar & Eatery, 4018 Roberts Road. Attendees should bring canned goods to donate. Shannon Fox, Thea Morris and Charles Cermak will be sworn in as the town’s newest trustees earlier in the evening at a meeting scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. at village hall.
