Students celebrate Mother's Day with arts and crafts

Last week, students at Chesterbrook Academy in Bartlett painted flower pots for their moms with donated recycled paint cans, soil, flowers and paint from CertaPro Painters of Schaumburg and Sherwin-Williams.

Each child got to paint their own message on the can and take it home to mom just in time for Mother's Day.

This was just one school involved in a greater initiative that included four CertaPro Painters locations and eight elementary schools around Chicago.

This is the second year that CertaPro has organized the event.

"We love being able to give back to the community," says CertaPro Painters owner Eric Featherson. "It's great to see the kids having such a good time."
