Real victims ignored in bin Laden flap
For all the clatter about bin Laden’s body being too gruesome to show the world, has anyone considered the condition of over 3,000 bodies because of his evil? If the top of his head was rightfully blown off as the murder of the murderer, what did the body of one who jumped from the 104th floor on 9/11 look like on the ground below? Their choice was to be burned to death or to jump.
Osama bin Laden had the choice not to commit this evil. He chose wrong. Why all the concern over the condition of his body? The whole world deserves to see a dead OBL. Radical Islamic terrorists will do their jihad, anyway. For the loved ones of the victims, an image of the dead OBL would be the closure many of them never experienced, for the bodies of their lost relatives and friends often came out of the rubble in pieces.
OBL even got a burial at sea by our Navy. At best, 9/11 victims will get a memorial — maybe even with a mosque within yards of the sacred location of their untimely deaths. The hand-wringing over bin Laden’s body needs to be transferred into more concern over the holocaust of over 3,000 innocent Americans who only wanted to go to work that day.
