Last chance for D73 survey

Friday is the final day for Hawthorn Elementary District 73 residents to weigh in on the idea of providing an optional full-day kindergarten and/or tuition-based prekindergarten program by taking two short online surveys, available at www.hawthorn73.org. Results will be reviewed by the school board at its meeting Monday, May 9. Under the proposal, the district would continue to provide half-day kindergarten, and all-day kindergarten would be available for a fee. Parents also would have the option to take part in a tuition-based blended PreK program provided in conjunction with the current grant funded at-risk program.
