St. Alphonsus Chargers win Northwest Catholic Conference championships
Prospect Heights: After beating number-one-seeded St. Theresa in the semi-finals, the St. Alphonsus Liguori Chargers clinched the Northwest Catholic Conference championships with a win over St. James during an exciting final match at St. Viator High School in Arlington Heights.
The Northwest Catholic Conference is made up of 14 schools located throughout the northwest suburbs.
The eighth-grade Chargers finished the season with an 11-6 record and impressive stats, including 230 recorded kills, 47 blocks and 247 aces.
