D214 Community Education ‘eat and earn’ fundraiser

What happens when you combine a top-notch restaurant with an “Eat-and-Earn” fundraiser supporting vital programs targeting people in need in our community? Answer: a top-notch “Eat and Earn” Fundraiser at Francesca’s Tavola in Arlington Heights to benefit the District 214 Community Education Foundation and the outstanding programs it helps support.

Wednesday, May 4th is the special day. From 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., you can call in your order or dine in and mention that you are participating in the District 214 Community Education Foundation “Eat and Earn” Fundraiser. Francesca’s will donate 20 percent of your total food and beverage bill to the foundation.

Francesca’s will be happy to take your phone orders for lunch or dinner carryouts as well as for dining in the day of the fundraiser. Again, make sure that the person taking your order or your wait staff knows that you are participating in the Community Education Foundation fundraiser.

The “Eat and Earn” fundraising program is Francesca’s way of giving back to the community. The May 4th fundraising event will benefit the many programs supported by the District 214 Community Education Foundation. Some of those programs include the Women’s and Children’s Center, English as a Second Language classes, the Read to Learn Adult Literacy/Volunteer program, Family Literacy, Adult Basic Education, as well as programs designed for older adults.

“We invite everyone in the community to participate,” said Carl Anfenson, Foundation Board Chair. “Even better, schedule your meetings, school or office parties and family get-togethers on May 4th and know that you will be helping the Foundation fund its many meaningful programs.”

Francesca’s is located at 208 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, and its phone number is 847-394-3950. Children’s and gluten-free menus are also available. You can go to its website at www.miafrancesca.com for details. For more information on the fundraiser, please call the District 214 Community Education Foundation at 847-718-7708 or 7799.
