Age limit on tanning takes away freedom
I greatly appreciate how you kept your impartiality intact throughout your article, “State suggests 17 is too young to tan,” without constantly ranting about your opinion. I like how you presented your information in a calm and factual manner, as though you were updating and not persuading. I think you were extremely professional in doing so. Readers got to see both sides of the topic, which probably helped them reach a conclusion.
My thoughts on this topic are very clear: I think that it’s not reasonable to place an age limit on tanning. I think this has to do with personal thinking and beliefs. If parents or teens don’t mind, the state should have no power to impose such a rule. We live in a world where freedom and liberty mean the most. I think this freedom and liberty should give girls the right to decide whether they want to tan. If an age limit rule were imposed, I would have to deal with my unhappy friends.
Rules are meant for the betterment of society, but what good are rules that are baseless? Putting an age restriction will make no difference because many girls will start spray tanning, which is equally as bad. However, I admire you for being unbiased and professional.
