Interfaith Council Sponsors National Day of Prayer Breakfast

The Interfaith Council of Elk Grove Village will sponsor its annual National Day of Prayer Community Prayer Breakfast, Thursday, May 5, 7 a.m. at Elk Grove Baptist Church, 801 Beisner Road, Elk Grove Village.

The meal is followed by representatives of 12 churches, community agencies, and faith-based organizations offering prayers for matters of international, national and local concern. The prayer service is from 7:45 to 8:30. Breakfast is $10.

Among international prayer topics are individuals or nations caught in the grip of war or natural disasters. Prayers for the U.S. will be for leaders in Washington and for the morals and values of the people. Community prayers will focus on strengthening families, people dealing with sickness and loss, churches and agencies that assist the needy, and for individuals to reach out and serve each other.

To make a breakfast reservation, call 847-593-8337 by Sunday, May 1. For further information email info@myegbc.com. Reservations are not needed and there is no charge to attend the non-denominational prayer service.
