Arguments abound for term limits

The U.S. is helping topple dictators in the Middle East. Hussein, Mubarek, Ghadafi and others ruled less time than some of our elected officials. Some have held office 40 to 50 years.

Our Congress governs against the American people, i.e. abortion, health care plan, which was rule illegal by a federal judge, solar panels, windmills, no oil drilling, etc.

We the people should insist our senators serve no more than two 6-year terms and our representatives no more than five 2-year terms.

Hopefully, more good people would get involved in the electoral process. It also may encourage more people to register to vote.

It’s a sad state of affairs when the Republican Party doesn’t run a candidate for mayor of Chicago. It’s no wonder our state is $15 billion in debt with a one-party rule.
