Learn what Kane County is doing for your community now, and be an active participant in the future of the county by providing your input on the long-range planning efforts that are under way at the “Quality of Kane” public outreach open houses.
Help achieve the vision of “Healthy People, Healthy Living, and Healthy Communities” by attending one of the various public open houses.
Stop in anytime between 4 and 8 p.m. on the following dates: Monday, April 25, at the Prisco Community Center, 150 W. Illinois Ave., Aurora; Tuesday, April 26, at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.; Wednesday, April 27, at Kaneland High School, 47W326 Keslinger Road, Maple Park; Monday, May 2, at Hampshire High School, 1600 Big Timber Road; Tuesday, May 3, at Sugar Grove Public Library, 125 Municipal Drive; and Thursday, May 5, at Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave., Elgin
There will be information on the Stearns Road Bridge; Making Kane County Fit For Kids; 2011 Community Health Assessment and Action Plan; Bus Rapid Transit Study; Long-range Transportation and Land Use Plans; Preserving Our Heritage; and the 2040 Energy Plan.
There will be a drawing for Kane County Cougars tickets, as well as help for homeowners, children’s activities and more.
