Stevenson wins own tournament

Stevenson’s girls water polo captured its own tournament Saturday, winning all three of its games.

Karen Lowry’s 5 goals helped the Patriots edge Mother McAuley 7-5. Erin McCook and Cheyenne Montijo also scored, while Stevenson goalie Lisa Michalowski had 8 saves.

Stevenson routed Whitney Young 16-1, receiving 3 goals apiece from Jessica Rozmberg, Ashle Oliver and Sam Petti. Alex Kanaris had 2 goals. Patriots goalie Becky Callen had 8 saves.

Stevenson defeated Fremd 11-7, as Lowry scored 5 goals again. McCook and Montijo had two each, and Michalowski recorded 11 saves.
