Adler Center offers art classes this spring

The David Adler Center is now offering several art classes for spring!

Create with the Masters – Learn about the great masters and create your own version of famous works. Picasso, Van Gogh, Grant Wood, and Jackson Pollock are just a few of the many artists that will be studied. Strengthen your drawing and painting skills, and connect to artists of the past. Appropriate for ages 10-14. Class will be held on Tuesdays, April 26 – May 31, 4:30-6 p.m.

Drawing – Develop and enhance your drawing skills while drawing from observation and your imagination! Create works of art using a variety of drawing techniques and mediums. Ages 7 and older. Class will be held on Tuesdays, April 26 – May 31, 6:15-7:45 p.m.

Architecture 101 – Experience how a building is constructed and learn about architecture around the world in this introductory architecture class. Students will explore how shapes become the elements of all building design, and will learn how to draw floor plans and elevations. Each student will create their own design plans, and will present their design to a jury of architectural professionals! Appropriate for ages 9-12. Class will be held on Mondays, May 16 – Aug 1, 5:15-6:15 p.m.

Architecture 102 – Continue your architectural studies with hands on experience in the use of various construction materials and methods, and learn perspective drawing. The class culminates in the construction of a model, using all the elements of design learned in the first session as well as building technology learned during this session. Ages 9-12. Class will be held on Mondays, May 16 – Aug 1, 6:30-7:30 p.m. Prerequisite: Architecture 101.
