Sorry to see free senior rides go

Well, the free rides for seniors on Metra and Pace are gone thanks to state Rep. Suzie Bassi. She fought the program from the start till she won. I would like to know what she has against seniors. I hope she understands that one day she will be one of us, but she won’t have a problem as I am sure she has been well-compensated for her efforts. Now that the RTA, Metra, etc. will have all this extra money, there will never be a need for them to ask for more funds. Shame on you, Suzie Bassi.

Oh, by the way, I used my free-ride pass once since it was started. Maybe she would like me to give them a refund.

There are still going to be some seniors who are exempt. Who is going to manage this program and at what cost? A new government department with high pay and pensions? Save on one side and spend on another. Same old politics.
