What is real agenda of SHS challengers?

STEVENSON HIGH SCHOOL, a name that deserves all capital letters because of all the recognition it has earned. It is a superior high school recognized across our country for its many achievements, only a few of which include:

타 the Blue Ribbon Award from the U.S. Department of Education, four times

타 recognition as a top public high school, chose by “U.S. New and World Report”

타 awards from the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts

타 graduates who attend some of the most prominent colleges in our country.

This is due in large part to the rigorous curriculum provided by outstanding teachers, administrators, and staff. These professionals choose a curriculum that is challenging and enriching. They have the expertise to scrutinize what is available and what is best for our children.

The slate of candidates running against the incumbents feel they need committees to develop the curriculum. Why? The current board has done an outstanding job in hiring true professionals who have done and are continuing to do a phenomenal job.

I fear the challenging slate of candidates has a personal agenda that will not benefit the students or community of Stevenson High School. Let’s keep Stevenson the outstanding school it is by re-electing Bruce Lubin, Merv Roberts, and Terry Moons, and David Weisberg. Stevenson’s community needs them!
