Incumbents have led Stevenson well

On April 5, residents of the districts served by Adlai E. Stevenson High School in Lincolnshire (District 125) face a choice of school board representatives. I would like to encourage my fellow residents to vote for Bruce Lubin, Terry Moons, Merv Roberts, and David Weisberg.

Mr. Lubin, Ms. Moons, and Mr. Roberts have been excellent stewards of Stevenson’s reputation, both academically and financially. Mr. Weisberg would like to join with them to continue this trend of excellence.

Stevenson High School is a nationally recognized school, with high average ACT scores (26.2 last year) and 88 percent of graduates attending four-year colleges. Stevenson has a AAA bond rating from Standard and Poors, which can only be claimed by a few other districts in the state.

This is not an election only for those with SHS students. I am a parent of three young children. As such, I believe it is my role, and that of others in my position, to safeguard the school our children will attend in the future. If we stand by and allow a change in leadership to pass unchallenged, we will have only ourselves to blame if we are unhappy with what such change may ultimately mean. One way to show you are happy with the job SHS does in educating our children is to allow these excellent and committed candidates to serve District 125.
