Elk Grove edges Dundee-Crown

Elk Grove’s Michelle Calmeyn scored on a penalty kick with 10 minutes left in the first half to help the host Grenadiers edge Dundee-Crown on Friday in a nonconference girls soccer matchup.

Dundee-Crown goalkeeper Ali Sanders made 5 saves, and Elk Grove keeper Melissa Solorio had 3.
