Schaumburg manager named to national committee
Schaumburg Village Manager Ken Fritz has been appointed to the National League of Cities’ 2011 Human Development Policy and Advocacy Steering Committee.
The committee has the lead responsibility for developing NLC federal policy positions in the areas of social services, education, employment and workforce development, Social Security and seniors, individuals with disabilities, public health care, mental health and immigration reform.
“I plan to spend my time on this committee encouraging the federal government to support Schaumburg residents and help them meet the challenges facing them today,” Fritz said. “Policy adopted at the federal level has tangible impact at the local level. The positions taken by the NLC are well-respected by legislators in Washington and influence their decisions.”
