New principal named for Marion Jordan School
Community Consolidated School District 15 has named Jennifer Grosch as principal of Marion Jordan School for the 2011-12 school year, replacing Dana Petersen, the school's principal for the past 10 years.
Mrs. Grosch joined the administrative staff at Marion Jordan earlier this year as the part-time interim principal to support David Kerkemeyer, the school's assistant principal, during Mrs. Petersen's extended leave of absence. Mrs. Petersen has notified the District that she will not be returning for the 2011–2012 school year.
While working at Marion Jordan this year, Mrs. Grosch has continued to serve as the assistant principal at Central Road School, a position she has held since she joined the District in 2003. During the course of this year, Mrs. Grosch has done an excellent job balancing the two assignments and has proven herself to be a good fit as principal at Marion Jordan.
Prior to joining the District, she served as a principal alternate and first-grade teacher at Dryden Elementary School in Arlington Heights, and as a third-grade teacher at Medinah North Elementary School in Medinah.
Mrs. Grosch holds a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Illinois State University, and a master's degree in educational administration from Northern Illinois University.
