Village doing fine, leave board in place

The impact of local government on daily life is bigger than state or federal. Local governmental leaders are our neighbors. We have a better chance to meet, know and see them in action. I’ve met them and like what I see them do and hear them say.

Mayor Al Larson and our “team of trustees” have been doing a great job for us. Larson sees the “big picture” and understands the economy that has hit all of us. Even with “hard times,” Schaumburg is showing success under his leadership.

A favorite common sense saying comes to mind: “If it ain’t broke, don’t try to fix it.”

Now that IS common sense to farm people! Right now it makes common sense to us city folks, too!

Proven success has been evident in Schaumburg — companies want to move here, our convention center is well-booked, people come here to spend their money, vacancies are down in office, industrial, and retail spaces, even in this “tough” economy.

So, re-elect those who have helped make it happen. Hank Curcio, George Dunham and Mark Madej need also to be re-elected, along with Mayor Larson. They’re doing it for us! I see proven success!
