No excuses for abortion
I read the letter in Fence Post, dated Feb. 21, by Gaylon Alcaraz, executive director of the Chicago Abortion Fund, and it sickens me that there are so many people out there believing that taking the life of an unborn child solves all the problems of the world’s poor. It does not. It compounds it.
Since the Roe v. Wade decision was passed nearly 40 years ago, abortion became a legal procedure. However, being legal does not make abortion morally right in God’s eyes. Pro-choice is pro-death because a death is the result of an abortion procedure.
The world is falling apart because it’s becoming morally corrupt in all its dishonesty and excuses for its hideous actions. We all have free will, which was given to us by God, who created us. Which will it be? Follow Him or follow the evil one? Your choice.
There are many organizations out there that help the poor and their children, such as pregnancy centers for life, Catholic Charities, St. Vincent DePaul Society, Salvation Army, city food pantries. There is no excuse for abortion.
