Eight injured in Woodstock rollover crash

Eight people were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Woodstock Sunday night involving a van that rolled over, officials said.

Route 14 was shut down in both directions for more than two hours between Dean Street and Kishwaukee Valley Road while crews investigated the crash which occurred just before 7 p.m., fire officials said.

One person was ejected from the van and was airlifted from the scene to an area hospital in serious condition, said Lt. Brendan Parker of the Woodstock Fire Rescue District.

The six other passengers of the van were also injured during the rollover as was the driver of the second vehicle involved, Parker said.

The cause of the accident was unknown late Sunday.
