Adler Center welcomes new guitar faculty

The Adler Center is excited to announce that Nanae Fujiwara, Jeff Rolando, and Jose Verduzco have been selected to join the Adler Center Guitar Faculty! These degreed instructors and professional musicians are a strong addition to the teaching staff because of their teaching experience and performing abilities.

Nanae Fujiwara – received a Bachelor of Music in Classical Guitar Performance from Northeastern Illinois University. She has worked with students from age 5 to 70. She started playing contemporary guitar as a teenager before discovering classical guitar. In addition to playing guitar, Nanae enjoys conducting, and one day hopes to have her own guitar orchestra.

Jeff Rolando – completed his undergraduate degree at Northern Illinois University where he taught at the NIU Community School of the Arts. He completed his Master's degree at Illinois State University where he also taught classroom guitar and was an ensemble director. While at NIU Jeff started playing period instruments and performed on lute and baroque guitar with the NIU Early Music Ensemble.

Jose Verduzco – has been teaching privately for 15 years and is an active performer of the classical guitar throughout the greater Chicago area. He has appeared on cable television and on the Spanish channel 66. Jose received his Bachelor's Degree in Music from Northeastern Illinois University, and has participated in a numerous master's classes and guitar festivals in the Midwest.
