Forum for D-15 board candidates set for March 17

The Northwest Suburban Council of PTA/PTSA is sponsoring a District 15 Board of Education Candidates Forum at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 17, in the gymnasium at Walter R. Sundling Junior High, 1100 N. Smith St. in Palatine.

The forum will start with two-minute introductory statements by the candidates, and then transition into a question-and-answer session. Questions will be submitted by the audience and will be limited to issues facing District 15. The forum will conclude with one-minute closing statements by the candidates.

Six candidates are running for the District 15 Board of Education in the April 5 election. Their names will appear on the ballot as follows:

• Manjula Sriram

• James G. Ekeberg

• Scott Herr

• Gerald D. Chapman

• Gerard Iannuzzelli

• David W. Seiffert

Three seats on the seven-member board will be filled in the election. Candidates elected will serve four-year terms expiring in April 2015.
