For Bloomingdale Village Board: Czernek, King, Dolce
Daily Herald Editorial Board
All four candidates for the Bloomingdale Village Board would be a good choice to serve the community. Incumbent Robert Czernek is notable for his opposition to the phone tax, while incumbents James King and Jeffrey Dolce are willing to reexamine it when the tax comes up again. We believe they all, as well as newcomer Michael Hovde, are sincere in their desire to hold down taxes and help the village through tough economic times. They would all like to bring back Septemberfest in some form when the village is fiscally able to do so. Dolce, appointed last year, has civic experience comparable to other incumbents and we think he deserves a chance to serve a full term. Hovde would be a fine alternative for the board, but he doesn’t have the same resume of civic involvement as the other candidates. Czernek, King and Dolce are endorsed.
