Hypocrisy in how we value babies

Let me see if I have this straight: If a woman is found to have been taking illegal drugs while pregnant, she is charged with a crime for harming the baby. Yet, she can go to a doctor, have an abortion (which kills the same baby), and it’s perfectly legal.

Another case: If a pregnant woman is murdered by someone, the perpetrator is charged with two murders. Yet, a doctor can perform an abortion, which also kills the baby, and it’s perfectly legal.

Something is terribly wrong here. We express outrage that a pregnant woman would harm her baby, but our government sees no wrong in allowing abortions to take place in this nation. It’s absolutely appalling and revolting that we live in a country that would tolerate such madness.
