Schaumburg police catch man in drug sting
An 18-year-old Schaumburg man is charged with manufacturing and delivery of cannabis following a sting set up by police Thursday.
Sean McIntyre, of the 100 block of Cedarcrest Drive, was released from jail Saturday after posting 10 percent of a $2,000 bail.
Assistant Cook County State’s Attorney Moe Ahmad said the McIntyre was arrested after Schaumburg police set up a drug deal through a “confidential informant.” Ahmad said McIntyre agreed to sell the informant $210 worth of marijuana in a parking lot in the 900 block of West Wise Road.
Using marked bills, the informant purchased the drugs from McIntyre at about 9 p.m. Thursday, Ahmad said Saturday at McIntyre’s bond hearing.
McIntyre’s next court date is slated for March 30.
