St. Francis claims Blue win in OT
St. Francis clinched second place in the Suburban Christian Conference Blue Division with an overtime thriller over Marian Central, 58-57 in Wheaton.
St. Francis (13-11, 6-4) outscored the Hurricanes 6-5 in overtime, overcoming 38-31 deficit after three quarters. Ryan Coyle scored 22 points to lead the Spartans. Mike Scholl made four 3-pointers and scored 16 points and Eric Stout added 15 points. Ben Krol’s 17 points led Marian Central (11-16, 4-6).
Montini 72, IMSA 56:
Montini (6-17) ended its regular season with a nonconference win in Aurora. Jim Miller’s 16 points led the Broncos, followed by 15 by Rich Bodee and 12 points by TyShawn Johnson. Dan Burke scored 8 points with 7 rebounds; Jon Gibbs had 8 steals and 6 points.
