Schaumburg A.M. Rotary receives Presidential Citation
The 2009-10 Rotary District 6440 Governor Bill Ferreira visited Schaumburg A.M. Rotary Club on Wednesday, Feb. 16 to present the Rotary Presidential Citation to 2009-10 club president Earl Bateman.
This award is designed to actively increase club involvement in Rotary's Four Avenues of Service (club, community, vocational and international) and membership development.
Ferreira commended the club – one of 45 in District 6440 to receive this award -- for its accomplishments during his tenure as District Governor, in addition to citing the fact that the fun and camaraderie shared by Rotarians in the spirit of service to others is an important fringe benefit of membership in this worldwide organization that consists of some 33,000 clubs and 1.2 million members.
Schaumburg A.M. Rotary, a multi-generational group of men and women, representing a cross section of the local business and professional community, meets every Wednesday morning at 7 a.m. at Poplar Creek Country Club in Hoffman Estates.
Inquiries regarding membership are welcome. For more information, visit www.schaumburgamrotary.org.
