Three stars:

1. Corey Crawford, Hawks: Made 17 of his 33 saves in the first period.

2. Marian Hossa, Hawks: Looked like the Hossa of early in the season and seemed to be everywhere with 2 assists, 5 shots and 3 hits.

3. Jose Theodore, Wild: He did all he could in goal with 34 saves.

On second thought: There was a lot to like about the Hawks’ new second line of Dave Bolland, Marian Hossa and Michael Frolik. Bolland had 3 assists and Hossa 2, with most of the damage coming on the power play, but their line with Frolik was dangerous and had a combined 13 shots.
