New Indian restaurant to open in Mt. Prospect
A new Indian restaurant will open in the former Quizno’s site at 1014 S. Elmhurst Road in Mount Prospect.
Sankalp will offer southern Indian fast food and be open seven days a week, said the restaurant’s owner, Chetan Patel. It should open in about six weeks.
The Mount Prospect village board approved Patel’s liquor license on Tuesday.
Also Tuesday, Mount Prospect police Investigator Jonathan Juhl was named the department’s Officer of the Year. The runners-up were officers Steve Burrell, Scott Filipek and Daniel Kidd, and Investigator Alison Teevan.
