Advocate Condell president accepts community service award

Dr. Ann Errichetti, president of Advocate Condell Medical Center, is the recipient of the Green Oaks, Libertyville, Mundelein, Vernon Hills Chamber of Commerce 2010 Community Service Award.

The award recognizes leadership positions within the community and contribution of time and talent to the community, making it a better place to live, work and raise a family. An award ceremony took place last month at the GLMV annual membership and recognition gala.

“We are thrilled to honor Dr. Errichetti for her many contributions to enhance health care in the community,” said GLMV board chairman John Lobaito, village of Mundelein. “Thanks Dr. Errichetti!”

Advocate Condell Medical Center's focus of giving back to its surrounding communities has been heightened recently under the Dr. Errichetti's leadership.

Her dedication to improving health outcomes has ranked Condell in the top decile in national measures of health outcomes like heart attack care. Recent advancements including designation as Lake County's only Level 1 Trauma Center and Pediatric Emergency Department; accreditation as a Chest Pain Center; and expanding cardiac care in the new Heart & Vascular Center (opening April 2011) reflect Dr. Errichetti's commitment to improving quality and access to health care for area families.

Dr. Errichetti believes the hospital has a responsibility to reach out to its community. From health fairs and screenings to sponsorships such as Making Strides for Breast Cancer and Libertyville Days to organizational partnerships with agencies such as the Lake County Health Department, PADS, and others, Advocate Condell, under her leadership, is committed to enhancing the health of area residents. Dr. Errichetti is also a member of the Lambs Farm Board as well as the regional board of the American Cancer Society.
