Done with Obama for support of Vick

President Obama, I see that you congratulated the management of Michael Vick's new NFL team for giving him a “second chance.” Something about the American value of rehabilitation.

Presumably, this means that Mr. Vick will no longer engage in the unspeakable torture of Man's best friend. I just thought I would pass along the phone number for Best Friends Animal Sanctuary. That's the organization that gave shelter and succor to the maimed survivors of Vick's torture: 435-644-2001 I'm sure that they would be excited to hear from you.

Before you call though, could you please ask one of your staff to explain what Mr. Vick did to the animals they are caring for? Just in case they ask you why the president of the United States had to “chime in” to support (in any way) the monster responsible for actions that seem to most people to be indefensible.

You don't have to respond, if you do not want to. I cannot, in any way, be considered to be supporter any longer. I'm done with you. Thanks for your time. Too bad you couldn't have found some time to condemn acts of torture and violence while you were celebrating Mr. Vick's good fortune.
