Arlington Hts. could use a dog park
Last year the village of Arlington Heights collected almost $67,000 for dog licenses.
That indicates there are about 5,500 legally registered dogs currently living in the village. That represents just under 19 percent of all households yet there is not a single facility for dogs.
It seems that the village could find a few acres that could be devoted to our beloved pets. An area could be set up for a fee that would fund construction and maintenance.
At the very least a checkmark on the next license renewal could seek public interest.
