Tilted Kilt coming to Schaumburg

Officials from the Tilted Kilt Pub and Eatery plan on opening a restaurant in Schaumburg.

A representative of the restaurant chain requested an application to obtain a liquor license for a proposed location at 1140 E. Higgins Road, the site of the McCormick and Schmick's Seafood Restaurant. That restaurant continues to operate, and Schaumburg officials couldn't say when the Tilted Kilt might open.

Plans for a Tilted Kilt in Hoffman Estates near the Sears Centre fell through when the restaurant opted to open a location in Elgin. The Celtic-themed sports bar and eatery features scantily clad female servers in plaid skirts.
