VHHS team wins regional prize

The Vernon Hills High School Worldwide Youth in Science and Engineering team won first place in a regional competition held Feb. 5 at the College of Lake County, school officials announced Monday. The team recorded a perfect 500 score. It now advances to a March 11 sectional competition to be held at Vernon Hills High.
