Gun threat leads to DUI charges for Arlington Heights man

Police arrested a 24-year-old Arlington Heights man early Saturday after management of a Mount Prospect bar said he threatened to shoot another customer.

Daniel Chiguil is charged with aggravated drunken driving after police found him in his idling pickup truck across the street from the bar at 1827 W. Algonquin Road.

Chiguil was ordered held on $10,000 bail during a Saturday morning bond court appearance at the Rolling Meadows courthouse. Prosecutors said the man threatened by Chiguil refused to press charges and a gun was not found in his possession.

Prosecutors noted that Chiguil had forfeited two previous bonds in 2007 battery and retail theft complaints for failing to appear in court on those charges.

His next court date is scheduled for Feb. 24.
