Snowmobile patrol in Island Lake
In Island Lake, police officers went out with public works snowplow crews to help stranded motorists. They found a few and brought them back to village hall, where food and shelter awaited.
“They did a great job,” Chief William McCorkle said.
On Wednesday morning, two officers patrolled the village on snowmobiles and continued to help stranded motorists, McCorkle said. No injuries were reported, nor were there any accidents.
