If yes, please explain: No, I have never been involved in any type of illegal activities.Candidate's Key Issues Key Issue 1 By helping the economy by bring in more businesses and more jobs to Fox Lake. Generate more tax revenue,so that there will be no increase in taxes to the residents of Fox Lake.Key Issue 2 To generate more parking in the business area so that the reidents of Fox Lake do not have to drive around to find a place to park. Beautify the downtown area so that more people will want to open a business in our town.Work with the existing businesses to improve the looks of their buildingsKey Issue 3 Make route 12 more appealing with upgrades of the buildings,slower moving traffic through Fox Lake. Find a developer to get the hotel we need build.Questions Answers What makes you the best candidate for the job?I have been in a form of goverment for the past four [4] years, so I will be able to start right away in help the peolpe of Fox Lake to have a better and safer community, also I will bring in new and interesting ideas to the board.Given the delicate balance between the need for revenue and over-taxing local businesses, what is your opinion of your community's present level of local sales taxes? Is the tax just right, too low or too high? Explain.The need for new revenue to the village is very important due the low economy. We need more businesses for revenue and jobs.I believe the tax rate is find for our present businesses and no inceases are needed at this time.Talking with your friends and neighbors, what seems to be their biggest public safety concern? Explain the concern as you see it, and discuss how you think it should be addressed.The Metro trains stay at the street crossing to long. They are creating danger at some streets i.e. Oak Street for one.We need to get them not to block streets at anytime. They should go past the street and let the gates go up. There will aways be concerns and we will deal with them as they come.In these tight economic times, municipal budgets have to be prioritized. Where, if anywhere, could the current budget be trimmed, and conversely, are there areas the budget does not give enough money to?Without having the means to the budget at this time I can not make a opinion on it. I am sure there are places to cut and places to add.As soon as I get in I will check the budget like I did at Leisure Village. I will get involvedin the next budget for sure.What#146;s one good idea you have to better the community that no one is talking about yet?I would like to see our 911 system become more profitable, by adding other villages to the system.
