Mundelein Parks honor employees

The Mundelein Park & Recreation District kicked off the new year by recognizing employees for their outstanding service and commitment to the community at a recent social gathering in Mundelein.

Park district staff enjoyed an evening together as they recapped the many accomplishments of 2010 and looked ahead to the many exciting things planned by the park district for Mundelein and the surrounding areas.

With 33 parks, thousands of programs, and meeting the needs and interests of a diverse community of nearly 37,000 residents, MPRD understands that being able to excel and connect with the community is truly a team effort, and that all of its employees play a key role. But equally, it understands the importance of recognizing those that go just a little further or take things one step higher in their daily efforts.

This year’s recognition featured a new format and strong competition. Nominations were submitted through employee input and voted on by staff and the park district board of commissioners. Finalists were selected, and five were honored as 2010 Employee of the Year. The honorees were Amy Eiserman, Barbara Daudelin, Nathan Neuwirth, Jerry Cleaveland and Steve Yeazell.

Mundelein Park & Recreation District would like to take this opportunity to thank its winners, its dedicated staff and board of commissions, and the community and park users for their support throughout the year.
