Vernon Hills falls to Highland Park

Highland Park 64, Vernon Hills 54: Despite a game-high 23 points from sophomore center Meri Bennett-Swanson, Vernon Hills fell to Highland Park in nonconference action.

Highland Park got double-figures from four players, led by Brianna Collier’s 16 points.

Bennett-Swanson also rolled up 10 rebounds and 5 assists for the Cougars. Freshman forward Lauren Webb finished with 16 points and 4 rebounds and junior guard Abby Springer tallied 7 points, 4 assists and 3 rebounds for Vernon Hills.
