No injuries in Streamwood fire
No one was hurt in a Thursday morning house fire in Streamwood that firefighters said was caused by a dryer.
Firefighters received a call at 11:28 a.m. from a woman inside the single-story home on the 400 block of Holly Drive, the Streamwood Fire Department said.
The resident was outside when firefighters arrived. Crews saw flames coming from the roof. The official cause remains under investigation.
Firefighters from Bartlett, Carpentersville, Carol Stream, Elgin, Itasca, Hanover Park, Hoffman Estates and South Elgin assisted.
