Feb. 6 fundraiser to help homeless veterans

The Chicago Bears may have lost but everyone attending Somebody's Pub Super Bowl XLV fundraiser on Feb. 6 to help homeless Illinois veterans will be winners.

Somebody's Pub, 858 S. Arthur Ave. in Arlington Heights, is planning plenty of fun for everyone during their open-to-close Super Bowl XLV festivities.

In a flag-raising effort to help Illinois veterans, Somebody's Pub will be offering a complimentary food buffet, drink specials, raffles and a chance to win a 32-inch HDTV.

There is no cover or minimum.

Proceeds from the festivities will be donated to the United Relief Foundation's Project Restoring Hope efforts support the essential ongoing needs that aid homeless veterans' reintegration into society and provide the long-term, life-changing opportunities for veterans to go from homelessness to home ownership.

According to the Veterans Administration, there are 107,000 veterans homeless on any given night and about 1.5 million veterans are considered at risk of homelessness.
