Schaumburg offers community scholarships
The village of Schaumburg is offering its 18th annual community scholarship program in cooperation with The Workforce Board of Northern Cook County.
Applicants must be Schaumburg residents; demonstrate financial need; be a first-time, continuing or returning student; have educational or career goals; and demonstrate the ability to successfully complete coursework at an approved Illinois educational institution.
Applicants may receive an application by calling (847) 923-4402 and must return it, along with two references, by 3 p.m. April 15 to the Office of the President, 101 Schaumburg Court, Schaumburg IL 60193.
The recipient will be notified by April 29. The scholarship is valid until June 15, 2012 and is nonrenewable.
