Peace groups hosts session on teen privacy Feb. 10

Northwest Suburban Peace & Education Project will hold the second in a series of community education events on teen privacy from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 10 at the Rolling Meadows Public Library, 3110 Martin Lane.

Tthe Joint Advertising Marketing Research and Studies database is developed by the Pentagon. Data is drawn from schools, the Department of Motor Vehicles, private data brokers, Selective Service, websites and surveys.

The information is used by the Pentagon for military recruitment.

The Northwest Suburban Peace & Education Project believes parents should have an option to opt-out of this process.
