Two arrested in Elburn limo fracas
A night out in a private limousine turned rowdy, leading to two arrests of Hanover Park residents over the weekend in Elburn after the driver called police.
Joshua Quick, 22, of the 7000 block of Princeton Circle, is due in court on Feb. 14.
He was arrested and charged with felony aggravated battery to a peace officer, according to police and court records.
Another passenger in the limo, Kimberly A. Bramlett, 21, of the 1300 block of Kingsbury Drive, was charged with misdemeanor battery to a police officer and is due in court on March 5, police said.
Elburn Police Chief Steve Smith could not be reached for comment, but the department issued a statement saying a limousine driver called police at 2:30 a.m. Sunday asking for assistance to remove about 10 “unruly” passengers from the vehicle.
Police met the limo driver at a gas station in the 900 block of Main Street and “the limousine driver advised officers that the passengers had been drinking, and that they were unruly to the point that she wanted them removed from the limousine,” Elburn police said.
As police told the passengers get out of the limo, Quick and Bramlett were arguing with each other, the department statement said.
An officer tried to keep them apart and Quick is accused of shoving the officer, police said. Quick was restrained, but he still tried to kick the windows out of a squad car.
Bramlett is accused of shoving the same officer trying to get past him to argue with Quick.
Quick’s felony charge carries a maximum sentence of seven years in prison, but fines and probation also are options.
